The 7th Morphology Meeting in Jena has come to a close, and we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for making this event so special. Your engaging talks, inspiring posters, and lively discussions created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that truly embodied the spirit of scientific exchange and collaboration.
A special thank you to our invited speakers—Prof. Dr. Tracy Kivell, Dr. Ben Warren, and Ass. Prof. Dr. Yoko Matsumura—for sharing their expertise and inspiring us all. We are also incredibly proud of our early-career scientists who participated in the Keynote Contest and presented their outstanding work.
The success of this meeting would not have been possible without your enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment to advancing the field of morphology. We hope you leave Jena with new ideas, connections, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for being part of this wonderful gathering. We look forward to seeing you again at future Morphology Meetings!
Warm regards, Iulia Barutia, Prof. Dr. Manuela Nowotny and the entire Orga-Team of the 7th Morphology Meeting 2026

One of its goals is supporting early-career scientists by offering a welcoming and friendly environment for presenting ongoing projects, fostering scientific discussions, and building connections.
Apart from the student awards for outstanding talks and posters, PhD students and early Postdocs are encouraged to register for the Keynote Contest. The winner has the opportunity to present a 30-minute Keynote talk instead of the 15-minute slot. When registering for the Meeting, simply mention the intention to participate in the contest. The abstracts of the participants will be evaluated by a committee in order to select the one with the greatest potential to inspire.
